Trying to run VAG Dyno and having problems ...
If I understand the instructions correctly ...
1. set steady speed
2. full throttle to red line (rev limit)
3. pres clutch and coast back to starting speed ?
I get a short stream of data for the accel and a TON of data for the coasting and none of it is labeled as "Decel" its all labelled "Idle" ???
Am I doing something wrong ?

just as an FYI, since you're chipped
your numbers are going to be off. In your options, what do you have your polling intervals set to? I wish I had my VAG in front of me.

With the clutch pushed in, you CAN'T be in DECEL mode.
In DECEL mode, your engine gets NO fuel. It would stall if it went into DECEL mode with the clutch pushed in! :-)
DECEL mode comes into play if you let your car coast down with the clutch left engaged. Then the ECU cuts all fuel because the momentum of the car keeps the engine spinning. But if you did that for the coast-down measurement, the numbers wouldn't reflect your drag properly, since engine braking would increase the apparant drag considerably.

well, you can do the vag dyno, but it's inaccurate. the standard deviation
I've found to be about 10%, plus or minus the actual numbers. But it's a toss-up, you will have a hard time guessing =/ The only way to truly know is to hit the dyno.

You are confusing block 120 with the Butt Dyno:
