Audi Announces New Design Edition Package for 2023 S6 and S7 Featuring Exclusive Arrow Gray Paint
The stylish design edition package will set you back $2,500 and will be available to order in June 2022.
The Audi S6 and S7 models are nothing if not stylish. And by packing 444 horsepower under the hood both cars have the performance to back up those good looks. And while more power is always a good thing, adding some extra styling flair is never a bad idea either. The 2023 Audi S6 and S7 will not be making any more power. But Audi is giving us a new Design Edition package that will up the style factor.
The 2023 S6 and S7 will soldier on with the 2.9-liter, twin-turbocharged, TFSI V6 engine. This engine is paired to the electric powered compressor (EPC) system. The EPC comes only on the S6 and S7. The goal of the EPC is to reduce noticeable turbo lag. It does this by using an electric motor with a small turbine that helps quickly build turbo boost pressure. So, with the performance covered, Audi decided to offer customers this new Design Edition. It is a little bit like giving James Bond a new Tom Ford suit.
Design Edition
The Design Edition includes Liquid Dark Chrome exterior accents matched with a high-gloss Black optic package featuring Black Audi rings and badges. The roof is painted in Brilliant Black and there are additional Liquid Dark Chrome accents on the front and rear bumpers. Arrow Gray paint is exclusive to the Design Edition package. Large 21-inch Audi Sport wheels finished in Platinum Gray, are also part of the package. The S6 and S7 have distinct wheel designs to further differentiate the models. The end result is a stunning looking car. But if you are not a fan of the new Arrow Gray paint color, don’t worry. You can also choose from Brilliant and Mythos Black Metallic, Daytona Gray Pearl Effect, Firmament Blue Metallic, Florett Silver Metallic, Glacier White Metallic, Tango Red Metallic, and Ultra Blue Metallic.
Interior Design
Climb inside a Design Edition car and you will be met with an Audi Sport design interior with red stitching. “The gear selector, lower console, and knee pads are now adorned in Dinamica – a breathable microfiber fabric that is made in part with sustainable polyester fibers offering a sporty feel and exquisite design finish.” You will also find a flat-bottom steering wheel, lifted from the RS models that is heated and covered in alcantara. The seat belts even have a little extra flair with red stitching on the edges.
Worth It?
The Design Edition package will cost you $2,500 and you will not get down the road any faster. However, for a vehicle in this price class it is not an unreasonable sum for a nice selection of appearance enhancing parts. And if you love the Arrow Gray paint, this is the only way to get it. Only you can decide if the improved look and exclusive color are worth the price. You have a couple weeks to think about it. The package is available to order beginning in June 2022.
