Herndon, VA – Audi of America has released interactive content of the all-new 2015 Audi A3 on the ‘Audi Library’ app for Apple iPad® – which debuted earlier this fall with the R8. In advance of the launch of the A3 family next year, the digital brochure with videos and animation allows users to peel back the layers of the Audi A3, peek underneath the vehicle’s hood, and explore its highly-anticipated and advanced features and technology.

“Audi wanted to create an experience that allows people to get inside and explore the all-new Audi A3 prior to its arrival next year,” said Loren Angelo, Director of Marketing for Audi of America. “The Audi Library app – our innovative take on the traditional car brochure – gives interested consumers the ability to go behind the leading edge design and deep into the engineering features and specifications that make the A3 another incredible Audi.”

All content on the Audi Library app is optimized specifically for the tablet format, including specialized photo and video content and animations. Users can “peel away” the outside skin of the A3 to look deeper into the engineering details underneath, or can flip to the engine page to hear the sounds of the TFSI® and TDI® clean diesel engines start up. Other interactive features include a video demo of an online destination search path on the available Audi connect® MMI page; demos of Adaptive cruise control, Audi side assist, active lane assist, and parking plus with rear view cameras; and “hotspots” that allow users to tap the screen for more information on the A3 features and accessories.

The Audi Library app also features paint colors and wheel options in high resolution. Users can get an up-close look at the colors and materials, and connect to Audiusa.com to configure a vehicle and search local inventory.

The Audi Library app currently features all 2014 Audi models. As the brand releases new vehicles and specifications, the product information on the app can be easily updated, keeping users in-the-know on any introductions or changes. Content will accrue on the app over time, and previous models years will be archived, providing a valuable tool for Certified Pre-Owned buyers. After downloading, content can be archived and stored in the cache, allowing for minimal download space.

The app will in the near future be released for the Android® platform, and in early 2014, Audi Accessories, Audi collection and Audi magazine content will also be integrated into the app.

The A3 sedan plays a pivotal role in the soon-to-be expanding Audi A3 family. The recently announced Audi A3 Cabriolet, the A3 TDI clean diesel, and the high-performance S3 sedan will join the family later in 2014. And, in early 2015, Audi will introduce the A3 Sportback e-tron® gasoline electric hybrid (PHEV). The A3 marks the first time that Audi will offer MMI® technology, Audi drive select, 4G LTE connectivity and Bang & Olufsen® audio in a vehicle in the premium compact segment.
