Audi e-tron on Asanti 22s

AudiWorld member Flandaeta has shown how just far some tweaks to the exterior of the e-tron can go.

Right out of the box, the Audi e-tron is a sleek, sexy SUV. But factor in that its fully electric powertrain is packing 402 horsepower and a 490 lb-ft of torque, that it’ll sprint from zero to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds, and that it’ll go up to 226 miles on a single charge? And it’s clear the beauty is more than skin deep. Of course, that doesn’t mean there isn’t any room for a few aesthetic improvements. As AudiWorld member Flandaeta has shown, some tweaks to the exterior can actually go pretty far. Just take a look at this beauty!

First, they opted for Navarra Blue Metallic, one of the best colors available for the e-tron, and the pics on this thread show just how nicely it pops in the sun. The next step was deleting all the chrome, save for the bits on the front lip and the grille, which I think properly accentuates the modern lines of the rig.  The biggest upgrade, of course, are the 22-inch Asanti Black Label ABL27 wheels in gloss black. They fill out the wheel wells perfectly, and the custom-painted yellow calipers — which are matched to the e-tron logo — complete the package.

Since this is an electric vehicle, the million-dollar question is how the aftermarket wheels — and the all-season Hankook Ventus ST rubber they’re shod with — will impact the range. Now, at at this point, Flandaeta hasn’t driven enough to notice any real difference. But since the Asantis are lighter and only slightly larger than the stock ones, they’re hoping it’s going to be negligible. That said, I’ll be paying attention to this thread to see what the change is, because as our friends at Green Car Reports have explained, the difference can be profound. Regardless, the wheels look amazing. Check out the pics below, and make sure to chime in on the thread!
