2002 1.8 T Coolant leak below back three headed breather hose..Coolant Flange on 2002?
Has significant coolant leak and it is coming from back of block below three headed breather element...Not blowing any white smoke, no anti freeze in oil or running rough.........just drip drip when charged and after stopping

Sounds like the coolant flange located on the back of the head just below the three way breather hose. I just replaced mine on the wife's '02 Passat (1.8T). BSK did a great write up.. see the link, also note Kenny's response concerning AWM engines. It was very helpful.
