Default Belts question

Hello,

I need to change the water pump/power steering belt. Is there a way to change it without taking apart half of the car? Any wise way to remove the water pump pulley?
Thanks a lot.

The power steering pump and water pump are not on the same driveline. The water pump is on the timing belt, behind the timing cover. The A/C, Alternator and P/S pump are on the serpentine belt. That belt can be removed easily. The timing belt needs to be replaced after pulling the nose off of the car.

Thanks bboissonneault, but I dont think you are right. The water pump on A4Q 1.8T 2000 is not on the timing belt, it is on separate belt with the PS. Here are the belts:http://www.germanautoparts.com/Audi/A4/Engine/15/1. My question is more on how to remove the water pump pulley to change the belt. Anybody has any experience? The pulley keeps turning when you try to unbolt it. I tried to wedge something btw the pulley and the belt but the belt is old and wobbly and this didnt work.I accessed it from under the car after removing the mechanical fan to open some space. By the way there is a neat way to remove the fan by unscrewing a long bolt form the engine to the mechanical fan which is quite hidden. the problem is the limited space, if one removes the radiator it will be more convenient but it is a major pain.

Sorry about that. I have an AMB code and apparently the belt routing is different.
