Default MAF Failure yet again any idea why?

I'm hoping someone can help me out here i am on my 4th MAF Sensor. I have an 99.5 Audi A4 1.8T Q and every two weeks i have to replace the MAF. I switched to an Amsoil Dry air filter so i know it's not a Dirt or an oil issue. the cat and turbo are not getting hot enough to burn the MAF out. And my VAG COM is resuring me it is the MAF failing. So that being said is there any thing eles that can cause the MAF consisantly to burn Out?

here is an update on the symptoms. car missfires during shifting. No engine codes are showing up on the Vag Com. The only error i am getting useing VAG Com is under the Engine readiness test. everything is a pass except the Evaporative Emmisions test it's a fail.

it was cheap crapy maf sensors that was the problem. I finally purchased a bosch maf and have been up and running for five weeks with no issues
