I have a 98 A4 1.8T. I just found out my turbo is no good. Can anyone give me someone info on where to find aftermarket turbo's.

what do you want to do?

get another of the same?

is your car chipped now?

do you plan to chip it?

you could upgrade to a k04 over the ko3 that died...

you could get your ko3 rebuilt...

but... car-parts.com and you should be able to pick up a turbo there for cheap

I just want a little more power than stock, i dont want to change other parts for new turbo

you're contradicting things there and prob dont know it.

heres the thing.

if you get a k04 turbo you're going to want to change the software in the car so it runs knowing there is a ko4 turbo in there. otherwise it will think you still have a ko3 and will run OK... but will be off.

the best bang for your buck would be www.car-parts.com and find a used turbo there. and then spend 300-400 on a chip upgrade for your ecu. for a 98 you should be able to gain 50hp and put you right at the 200 mark (which will be a night and day difference over your stock 150 that you have now)

search the forums.. there are ALOT of options out there. apr, mtm, giac, revo, neuspeed...etc
