471A vs. 471C MAF - Any benefits to the C?
Currently I have a 471A MAF on my 12v. I was able to get a C maf for a couple of bucks and I thought I would give it a try. The MAF was off a 97 A6...
Now I know the 471A can be bored out via DIY or mance, but are there any advantages to running the 471C - as in does it sample more effectively/efficiently? Has anyone tried running with a C MAF vs an A MAF?

471C MAF is plastic and more restrictive in either stock/bored configuration compared to 471A...
Best tell-tale indication is ya GOTTA know if it were as good or better I, and others would've been converting these since spring of '96 when '97 models became available and I saw my first one. They are TONS cheaper new but Audi had massive electronics issues with early ones and there was a nation-wide recall. And before anyone asks the 471D/E is even worse and for electronic as well as flow restrictive reasons.
