Default doesn't match any of the numbers on my old front "take-off" sensors...

but since they're seven years old it's entirely possible (and likely) they've been superceeded. Is yours an OEM/generic #?

Mine are:

Bosch # 0 258 003 524/525
Audi # 078 906 265D

I tossed the old rear sensors when changing so I have no reference for those.

Default I found that number online

It fits supposedly the 93-95 90, 93-94 100, 95-98 A6, and 95-98 A6 & S6. I was hoping it might work for my engine. That sensor is $108.00.

I found also a Bosch Universal 3-wire O2 sensor (1391) for $29.00.

PS: I heard Beru had 02 sensors...

Default Here's a pic of the box that one of the front sensors came in...

with the part number printed on the side with a SKU. I've never seen any Bosch part # have an "xxxxx" part number as Bosch is FAR too big for such low numbers. They always read more like an Audi part number. Me thinks the number you're getting is someone's proprietary number for what may/may not be the same sensor. If it truly is the right part # and $108 it is the best price I've ever seen anywhere on an OEM sensor.

Default Are "Walker" brand ones any good? (EDIT)

Never mind, I just saw the discussion a bit down on the board. It's all inconclusive! Gah!

Default Yes, it sounds a bit too good to be true...

I'm sure if I ask at the dealer how much the OEM O2 sensor is, I'll have a heart attack. :-P
