Default I don't get it, isn't this a bad thing for our cars or anyone with a daily driver.

"There is a downside to slide throttles, which is that they have a reputation for offering poor driver control at part throttle. The modulation is not as good as with butterfly throttles, or barrel throttles for that matter. Perhaps for this reason, they are not all that common in motor racing, not even in F1."

This seems more like an example of "what not to do" in order to gain more hp.

its just "brain food",not sayin anyone should do it on a daily driver
