Does anone know if ECS had this made or is it a OEM item from some place?

I haven't seen one being sold anywhere else.
And I don't recall any noticable markings on mine that would identify the manufacturer.
I think that Rob K. found a cheaper alternative somewhere but I'm not sure what it was.

I've just finished dissecting a stock one a few weeks back. Looks like it started life...
as a 4 bar due to spring size (little larger than a 3 bar). Looks like they'd take about 2 hours to make all-told but I'm having a hard time finding a good price on stock units, even in quantity.

it's a Bosch. Has the logo stamped on the side above the Audi rings...
you can see it on yours when mounted in the car or spin it by hand til you can. On the adjustable one it's still there under the epoxied-on adjustment sleeve.
