It's a great evil, but also a necessity
Google has launched ther free email service with 1GB storage capacity. If you are not afraid that Big Brother will find out what toothpaste you use, it's an interesting option to hotmal, yahoo mail, and all the other free email providers. MM120 mentioned walla.com also had 1GB capacity, but you have to upgrade to the 1GB option. So far, you can get a g-mail account only of you are being invited by someone who already has an account.

I'm sorry to report I already wasted a perfectly good invite weeks ago. :-( I didn't know then that my browser didn't meet the requirements for having a g-mail account. In fact, I had to get a new OS in order to run a browser that would work with g-mail. Now I have the proper OS and browser. Your generous offer was appreciated. Who knows what will go wrong when I try signing up with g-mail tis time!

I was running OS9 and my browsers were Mozilla, Opera, and IE. g-mail required OSX. So I installed OSX and began using Mozilla Firefox as browser. Excellent browser, by the way.
If I fail again, I might come back to your offer.
