I just noticed 12v.org notes the rev limit on 12v at 6700rpm, is this AAH or something?

Default Any idea as to why?

the AAH has more torque than the AFC and also a higher RPM range. I presume it has less high-end torque otherwise it should have more HP as well...

I'd love to get that extra 500rpm out of the AFC...

Default valve float with single springs would be my guess. Especially on the exhaust side.

You cannot run a light, single spring and have any hopes of it closing/fully seating the valves at high rpm. The dog simply will not hunt!

Default Yeah, I agree... Wonder if you could use/adapt an AAH ecu

and get an increased rpm range to work on. Especially if we keep adding high end power (ports & al) we're going to reach a point where we're peaking (powerwise) awfully close to the 6.2k redline of the AFC.

So, AFC only goes to 6200rpm? LOL! My previous AAH went all the way to 7200rpm =) (chip)

Default way ahead of ya and not even close!! OBDI vs OBDII. It plugs right in and scrambles...

everything from the dashboard to the radio to the headlights, security. If you're going to chase/rewire over a hundred leads you might as well do it with a Bosch ECU that offers timing advance.

Default Re: Details?

1)Yes, European model (C4 sedan FWD)

2)MMS200 (Had to look that up, good thing I took photos when I dug out the ECU from behind the dash).

3) Don't know the make of the chip, it was already mounted when I bought the car.
