I already searched without any luck, the searches yielded TB buttefly (which is welded?). I saw that you removed all the butterflies out from the IM.
I broke off 2 screw heads already (I hope I can break some more) and most of them are already loosen but it just won't come out. Is there anything to it? TIA.

Click on any of Mr-D's posts......
Then click on the IM workshop link. Then, look for the post about a "MAJOR UPDATE.......Butterfly Removal"
I just did it yesterday. Basically you'll need to grind the back of the screws down flush with the shaft, then carefullt unscrew them with a #1 phillips head screwdriver. They are very soft, and the heads can strip or shear off easily.
Once you have the shafts out you may be able to remove the to broken screws from the back side with a pair of vice grips and carefully unscrewing. Be very careful, none of these parts are availavle. If you screw it up, you'll be buying another manifold to try again

here's a pic of what you need to cut/grind off...

I used a grinding stone on my dremel tool... Went through it like buttah. Then I ground a slot in the screw head cuz I kept stripping them cuz they were so soft.

sorry, i'm kind of out of the loop here on this one.. :(
so if your going to grind/cut to take them apart, does this mean you have to buy new sets when you put them back together? or you just won't put them back at all.

nah... those butterfly valves were the real air restriction... no need for them =P...
but seriously..
The pic is of the screw that you need to grind down in order to get it out. This enables you to removed the butterfly plates, which in turn frees the shafts.
This way we can get in there and p&p the runners even more! To return these parts, Mance had mentioned putting in similar screws and making our own crimper to do basically what was done stock. This I'm guessing will be coming later down the IMW posts when the time nears.
Make sense now?
