poor running when hot and a/c UuuUUuuu
When there is hot outside and the engine temperature reaches ~100 Celsius, my car starts to be sluggish, i have poor acceleration.
I've changed ECT sensor but could'nt feel any improvement.
Any ideas what else should i check?
Moreover when I'm running in a highway and there is 3000 rpm i can hear A/C compresor doing uuuUUuuu, bet when the rpm increases the sound disappier.

Re: Heatsoak into the MAF perhaps? Have you tried wrapping it with a towel?
Could be MAF :/
What do you mean wrap it in a towel ? Just take regular small towel and wrap the MAF around? I think heat will easily reach the MAF trough towel, or i am wrong?
thank u

I've never done this, but I remember reading the tech article...ah, here we are!
Perhaps this will help you, too. Is this a new issue, or have you never driven your car to the point of high high heat before?
Of course, YMMV, but no harm in trying it. Unfortunately, I feel I have to take it with a grain of salt - he says that the air tube being black causes it to absorb more heat...but that's only pertinant to light energy, not pure heat conductivity. Still, the rest of it makes sense, and if this is an issue you've only started experiencing in hot weather during long drives...hey, perhaps it'll help!

I had the same problem...
and after reading a bit about the MAF I figured that if I insulate the MAF and the intake it should help a bit.
So here is what I did so far:
At home hardware stores you can get aluminum tape with a thin layer of foam like insulation, heat resistant bubble wrap (with silver coating) and a small roll of fiber thin glass for wrapping pipes.
1) I wrapped the entire air intake with the aluminum tape.
2) I wrapped the antire MAF in the thin fiber glass, and than covered the fiberglass with the silver bubble wrap.
ON hot days it makes a BIG diffirence !
Now I am thinking about getting a thermal balnket (cerablanket)
http://www.thermalceramics.com/products/categories/blanket.asp
and using that.
However I don't know if it is worth it...

Here are some pics...the air box still needs some more work
This is on my 1993 90 CSQ...
For summer I also take off the top of the engine cover which holds more heat near the engine.
