Default steel hose kit?

i am going to try something different a steel intake hose with a smooth coating and two silicone hoses one for the mount to a custom airbox and another to the name of the part excapes me raight now but the part between the tb and the inlet hose.
which will be custom fiberglass. my question is should i do a 3 inch inlet or 4 inch wich will require a special trip. pictures soon.

Default I agree. The silicone is much better at keeping intake temps down, especially thicker 4-ply but...

many just use 2-ply because it's easier to work with. To each his own though....

Default and why fiberglass, just use a 90 elbow? If you want rigid pipe, use aluminum and put oversize

silicone tube over it so there is an air gap for insulation.

Default Or even 2-ply silicone with a lapped/honed center aluminum thin-wall sleeve pressed in...

and flared at each end so the span between ends "floats" over a dead-air insulating space between silicone/aluminum. There's a TON of ways to skin this cat but I personally wouldn't consider "steel" in the first couple dozen.

As far as the rest of the plans mentioned for this project I must be losing it as I can't even begin to conceptualize any of the other stuff mentioned. But I'm patient that way... I'll wait for the pics.
