Technical terms - help
Hey guys
I've been reading a lot of threads in here, and feel really inspired. But since english is not my native language, there are some technical terms giving me trouble.
Could some of you please explain what these things are? I might know what they are, but just with another term.
- EGR (EGR Mod?)
- Maf screen
- ISV
- (Intake) Plenum
- ICS
- Restrictor plate
- Velocity stack
I will probably be back later with some more questions, but if i could have these covered first, it would be much appreciated.

- EGR (EGR Mod?) -Eveparative Gas Recirculation
- Maf screen -Mas Air Flow sensor (it has a metal mesh screen in front)
- ISV -Idle Stability Valve
- (Intake) Plenum - i think thats reffuring to eather the intake itself (the aluminum portion or the plastic peace that sits over the TB
- ICS - doesnt ring a bell
- Restrictor plate - a plate or a butterfly valve that restricts flow
- Velocity stack - these are fun, VAP has a whole big thing about these. velocity stack is a "device" or a funnel that allows a bigger volume of air to enter your intake system with a higher speed (someone correct me on this if im wrong)

The EGR "Mod" that some are talking about is a mod (modification)to the original design which removes or "deletes" the function of the EGR valve by modifying the the vacuum to it.
