2012 Audi A4 Allroad 2.0 TFSI - oil odd thing!
Help
I recently purchased a 2012 Audi Allroad A4, I went for the 2.0 TFSI for running costs and no need for a larger gas guzzler, having done some due diligence - I felt pretty safe and satisfied........... for a short period of time, not long after purchase the oil warning came up, I though that's odd, it was serviced prior to purchase and I hadn't driven that far, bought some oil, made sure it was the correct grade and topped her up.........soon after boom, oil warning again, topped up again and realised I had the burning oil consumption issue, spoke to the dealer and explained I was not too pleased, he arranged for me to take the car to the local Audi Garage for a service and consumption test. So as not to be hoodwinked, I ran my own test, she used just over half a litre in 502km which extended out would have meant more than the allowed half litre in 1000kms, exit stage left, collected the vehicle for the start of the consumption test - clear understanding of what was required after a little discussion with the dealership, I was originally told half a litre in 500kms, took the car from the garage and drove home, probably a 25km journey, stopped short on a level parking spot and did the oil measure reset, ignition on for 2 minutes and thought that's odd, showing about a quarter down already, mmmmmmmm, checked again the next day and wow miraculously the oil level was at max!
Having driven for 274 kms in the last couple of days, the level has not budged - either a miraculous fix or is there some jiggery pokery afoot?
Reaching out for advice
