2000 A6 Engine Noise
I have a very quick ticking noise for the first 1-2 seconds when starting my car cold. If i crank it first and dont let it start the tick does not happen at all...seems like lifter noise, but I am curious if anyone else has had this and how they resolved it...Thanks.

It has always had Mobil 1. Previous owner ran 5w30 i switched to 0w40...car has about 95k milesive had it since 50k...have you ever adjusted the valves on this motor?last time I had to adjust valve clearance was on a 22R toyota...
