Default Ball Park on a clutch job on a 27t?

Hi Guys,
It's been many months sice I last posted on this web site and now it it may be time to post a big thing. I was parking the car today and I noticed that it was nearly impossible to put the car in second gear. I managed to park the car in a atrget lot and noticed that I cannot put the car in gear when the engine is running. If the car is off, I can slide the trany into any gear easily. I think that either the slave cylinder failed or the release bearing failed. I know that over the past month or so i have felt a slight whiring in the clutch petal when it is depressed.
Interesting.

Any ideas on how much a clutch job might be or any other ideas on what may be going on.
Thanks.
