cam locking tool borrow in the SF bay area?
Hey-
Anyone out there in the SF Bay Area have a cam locking tool for doing the timing belt job and wants to let me borrow it? Willing to pay some money for your trouble, trade war stories, or give you some beer.
thanks!

Have you tried Audizine.com ( http://www.audizine.com/forum/forumd...hp/3-B5-S4-RS4 ) .. I am not trying to steal you away from this forum but there are more guys out there that can give you a lending hand. Good luck though, If I had one, I would let you borrow it, as you are only a trip over the pass away lol.

I paid $65 on eBay for the locking pin and bar shipped to my door. Considering all the money I spent on 2 belts, 2 rollers, 1 tensioner, water pump, thermostat, G12 coolant, and time, the locking bar worth every penny.
The pin is a big hassle to install, and you really don't need to use it. I didn't. If your car is running perfectly before the job, just verify the TDC mark on the vibration damper before removing the timing belt. Then align the mark at the same spot before tightening the sprockets with the new belt.
Good luck.
