Default clutch fan slightly out of line

hey, i had a quick question. i just did my timing belt the other day, and everything went very smooth, it was the first time i've really done anything on any car. anyways, my clutch fan is spinning as if it were warped.. its not close enough to hit anything, but i just worry about the whole assembly going bad after a while. how important is the fan, and does anyone know of a simple fix without taking the front end off again? any suggestions would be much appreciated. oh, btw, its a 2000 s4.

Default the primary fan or the secondary one? I'm assuming since you're saying clutch that you mean primary

it's pretty important, as it's engine driven. You have two options: replace the entire fan assembly, or get an electric fan kit and remove/bypass it altogether.

Default quickaudi is a PW, and we think he's a man...

lol

I didn't even suggest anything to him, ironically.

I always encourage wrenching, though...

Default Well, I figured that due to your post, he went back and checked the bolts and I thought he likely

didn't tighten all the bolts based upon reading this thread, but figured he needed to check it himself. Hope my PW shtick isn't getting too old... =D

Default i jammed an allen in the front part of the fan (i believe it was about a 10mm). this locks it so you

can torque on it more, its easier if you take off the plastic fan POS so the blades don't get in the way...
