Disconnecting turbo engines
Does anybody know if it's possible to disconnect the turbo part of the "turbo" twin engines in an Audi Allroad? We're thinking of having our 16 yr. old drive our Allroad that has high miles on it. Don't want him to have too much power, though! Any advice? We know we won't get anything for a trade-in and the car works perfectly.

short answer - NO.
long answer - no, not without, and I'm obviously leaving stuff out, but you'd have to remove the turbos or somehow set the wastegates to open so it bypassed the hot side and went straight to the exhaust without making boost. However, your ECU would go nuts and throw you into limp mode, so you'd have to have someone reprogram your ECU to ignore it, and that won't be cheap because no one, to my knowledge, has ever done it.
Your best bet is to put it in valet mode, though that's not a great idea b/c that would limit his power when he might actually need it.
Your best bet is to teach him how to drive properly... in something a little slower.

yu can limit boost to 5 psi by disconecting the n-75
but you could also just have a little more faith in your son. An allroad is not very fast. Unless your son has a criminal record I don't think you have much to worry about, well unless he is blind but that is a different story.
