Diverter Valves

Diverter Valves
Besides being less prone to failure, is there any other advantage ( e.g. more boost) to having aftermarket diverter valves installed as opposed to OEM? The car has stock K03s with Stage I APR flash program.

yes...
better response. Diverters don't control Boost, the N75 and other valves do.
Diverters work when you shut the boost off, diverting the excess compressed air out of the intake thereby letting ther turbos work without back pressure. Butr if you get on the gas fast, you want the boost back on to. With a slow reacting diverter you have a touch more lage.
Something like the 710N OEM upgrade or better yet the Hyperboost (stramosphere) will give you much better reaction time.
The beauty of the Hyperboost and others like it is that they can be opened, a lubed as needed. O rings replaced. etc. The OEMs are disposable and not repairable.

You can reservice it. We use a teflon coated piston for our valves to insure longevity of the grease
