Leak in the turbo oil feed line - do I need to fix it ASAP?
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/112894/turbo_oil_line_leak.jpg"></center><p>Today I spotted a leak that seems to be located at the turbo oil feed line connection, ref. the attached picture.
Is this sweathing/leak a common problem for our 2.7t engines and could it be that it is a symptom that indicates that something is wrong with the turbo? (I really hope not!)
Should I have the oil feed connection changed as soon as possible, and would the job qualify as a DIY task?
All the best
Harald

You are right all of you - or should I rather say you are all right!?
there is some sweating back at the tensioner seal so I guess that is what it is then.... I will watch this in the months to follow. Hope it is so small that I can live with it as the DIY procedure for changing this seal seems to require a special tool....
Thank you all for pointing me in the right direction!

- passenger side, and all the DIY pages I have found talks about
a special tool needed to keep tension on the cam chain while removing the cam tensioner gaskets. Audi tool part number 3366, ref.:

Are you suggesting that the job can be done without this tool?

oh no, you DEFINITELY need the special tool.
however, due to recent experience, I would HIGHLY suggest taking this to an independent mechanic and have them do it for you.
