Minute warm up / cool down

Minute warm up / cool down
Is it still necessary to sit for a minute before and after a trip to allow the turbos to warm up and cool down?
I was told (by a salesman) that it was not necessary because the turbos are now incased in oil.
What are you opinions?

Warm up / Cool down info....
I think the general consensus is to immediately drive off when you start the car as mileage, engine wear, emissions etc... are at their worst in idle at start-up.(this is in your manual that came w the car) That being said, as you begin to drive don't rev it up high (I stay below 3-4k rpms)until the coolant and oil temp gauges have reached their normal running positions. Then have fun. But try not to drive hard right before turning off the engine. If you drive gently in the last minutes of your drive, you shouldn't need to let it run to cool down.

Turbos have always been encased in oil and the bearings are water cooled. Nothing new.
Throttle position = boost demand; thus the more you push on the loud pedal the more boost that is called for by the ECU. Don't use lots of boost until fully warmed and don't beat on it and then shut it down - last minute or two just use gentle throttle and you'll be fine. My rule is never shut it down if oil temp is above 225. If it is, let it idle for a minute or two.
