Default S.O.S.! Something wrong with front end!

Every time i hit the slightest misperfection in the road the front end has a heavy rattle, i put it up on the lift and the plastic shield is not loose. But on the highway the car does not skid at high speed turning... could it be the shock or strut?

thank you guys

Default Just went through the same issue with mine

it turned out to be the nut that holds the strut in the strut mount. Completely loose. Jack up the car and move the wheel up and down, you should hear a metallic clunk.

Default Remember to check your sway bar end links.

I had a front knocking/rattle from one of those once. The noise happened most pronouncedly at slower speeds on uneven pavement. I could also make it happen by jerking the steering wheel back and forth.

I also broke one of the automatic spacers in the bumper support - which caused it to make a similar clunking sound. But, if you haven't had the carrier (radiator support) out recently, I don't think that's likely.

How old are your arms? I've never had a set for much over 100K.
