Default Surging and down on power

Have had the APR Stage 1 installed, and after that new TBB and DV's. All other hoses check OK. Afterwards felt great for about 1-2000 miles (city stop start driving) then started surging on acceleration. After service check, everything went back to normal, only to repeat. Suggested that I try an "Easter Egg" in the car. Turn ignition key to ON position, push accelerator pedal to floor...hold for 5-10 seconds. Turn key off and then release pedal. Wait for 1 to 2 minutes and drive. After doing this, car is great again. Anyone heard about this? and if so...what does it do?

Default you really want to know what it did?

nothing. well, pushing down on the accelerator did nothing, anyway. Leaving the ignition on for that long performed a throttle body alignment. Did it really help? Maybe. You would be well served to pressure test your system just to be sure.

System has been pressure tested (with smoke machine) and no leaks found.
