First time posting here. Site has been very helpful so thanks to all. Just struggling to locate my coolant sensor, which needs to be replaced.

I have a 2003 A4 3.0 and for the life of me, I couldn't find it. Any tips on where it might be located? I searched in the vicinity based on instructions I found on-line with no luck. I assume they're for different models.

It is hidden in the back of the engine, towards the middle. Just replaced mine last week. I had to remove the plastic air intake that connects to the intake manifold. With the intake out of the way, it was a 2 minute repair. If I can, I will try to get a pic up hear soon.
