Default I thought you guys might like to see my VAST performance built A6 with S8 motor 6speed

This is my 2000 A6 4.2l I wanted more power so I went to VAST performance for a GIAC chip and ended up with this

2002 S8 motor with intake spacers

6 speed trans conversion With LWFW

VAST 4.2 "super open" exhaust

GIAC/VAST chip to make it all work together

There are many more mods thoes are the big ones

The car

The motor with the LWFW

The money shot

I hope you all enjoy. I have been very excited about this project. There is a lot of potential in our cars and it seems that until now many have forgotten us V8 guys. Lets see what we can go do. I hope to have more to come.

Looking good. I have the same tranny in my 97' A8. Let me know if you need a 4.111 rear end.

Default 6-speed out of a B6 / B7 S4?

Am i right?

How did you deal with the computer, pedals, and cluster issues?

Will the tranny bolt right up to the non S - 4.2?

nice... lots of $$$$$

Default I would guess they allow the air/fuel mixture to accelerate longer and straighter

prior to entering the combustion chamber.

Default Re: So what do the intake spacers do?

Didn't see any spacers. They are normally phenolic spacers, which allow you to get the intake manifold off of the head. When you do this you stop heat tranfer into the intake manifold and eliminate heat soak all together.
