Default new thermostat

would it be ok to change the thermostat to fix the overheating problem and wait a couple months to do the timing kit? I cant afford to do it all right now but I need my car back.

Default If you can afford it, I'd replace the water pump at the same time. That way you

won't have to drain the coolant again when you do the TB.
