Default 2014 A4 keyless entry antenna location

Hey can anyone tell me where to locate the antenna. Cant use the keyless entry or start/stop button. Code reads as an open to antenna.

I found this. It seems there may be 3 locations. In the console, in the drivers door, & in the rear bumper. I am missing having a Bentley manual to refer to. Have you checked the battery in the keyfobs?

It is three antennae: center console (interior), driver's side rear door (left), and rear bumper (rear).

If it's the DTC:
Code:
03283 - Antenna for Access & Start Authorization; Left
007 - Short to Ground
Then it could be the circuitry in the J393. Known common issue. I picked up a used unit on eBay and had the dealership install and code it to deal with the immobilizer and component protection issues (ie, you swap it yourself, your car isn't going to start anymore until the programming work is done). Google search on "audi tsb 2021363/5".

I wasn't sure where the antenna in the drivers side door was. Just found out it's in the handle. When I pulled the codes with the obd11 i think it said it was open. Gonna follow up this weekend weather permitting. Thanks for all the info.

There is no antenna for the keyless operations in the driver's door. There is a sensor in the four door handles, but simply to detect pressure on the two contact points. A defective sensor will not impact the keyless operations except at that door handle. A defective antenna will block all keyless operations. You said the DTC text referred to antenna, not sensor.

It definitely said antenna. Back to checking the rear door for the antenna. Thanks that will be tomorrow's mission.
