Oversize winter tires fitment: 16" wheels + 225/65
New guy here with a 16' allroad. I though I'd throw out my winter setup. Lots of conflicting info if 16's would fit, they do! Tire rack said so, they guarantee fitment, so I gave it a shot.
I up-sized about an inch and went narrower, from:
245/45r18 = 26.7” x 9.7”
To:
225/65r16 = 27.5” x 8.9”
I think the new rims are ET38, they tuck into fender wells nicely and look, well, very utilitarian. I kind of dig it, but not for everybody.
