Get 2018 now, or hold for 2019? TIA!
Need advice here and quickly please.
I am insanely close to purchasing a 2018 Allroad fully loaded. The dealership is claiming to be giving it for $350 over invoice. I have heard of some dealerships offer large discounts (up to 10%), however I'm clearly not getting that.
My question is, does it make sense to get this 2018 now, or should I be waiting for the 2019's? I understand that we don't know the upgrades (if any) to the 2019. But in terms of cost, does it make sense to get the 2018 now?
Thanks in advance

I think it depends on how long you plan to keep the car.
You won't get a price near to invoice on a 2019 for many months, but will take a big depreciation hit pretty quickly on a 2018 when the new model is out: if you keep for years, the initial hit gets spread out (minimized) and you save $3-5k by taking the 2018.
I'd leave it to others what they think the changes for 2019 will be, but would imagine the usual mid-cycle refresh will hit Europe this year (2019) and be deferred 6-12 months (2019.5 or 2020) for the US.

No idea on changes, by bvariant is right - you'll take a hit on value. If you're leasing - I'd wait. If you're buying, it's up to you. I wouldn't expect major changes in MY '19, as it already has the latest technology in the '18 lineup.
