Just asking - thoughts on mud flaps and tow hitch?

@breadbooze, thanks for posting the diagram. I was hoping to buy a hitch receiver to mount a bike rack, but it doesn't look like this one would be compatible with the bike racks that slide into a tow hitch receiver.

Curt makes a hitch receiver.
CURT Manufacturing - CURT Class 1 Trailer Hitch #11448
The allroad isn't listed but the mounting points are the same.

There might not have been a way to make this a dealer installed option, as it was with previous Allroads before being discontinued a few years ago, and Audi decided to keep the number of permutations down to increase the number of cars sold out of inventory.

I just picked up a new Premium Plus allroad on Monday and will be installing the Draw-tite class 1 hitch Item # DT24950 this weekend. I just need a hitch that can carry a couple of mountain bikes. The hitch arrives tomorrow so I am hoping it fits well and solves my problem.

I haven't had time to look around the dealerships in the UK for a avant/allroad fitted with an OE hitch, but I did run across this video a while ago and forgot about it until now.
granted it's for the highly desirable 3.0 TDI variety, though we're more focused on the hitch here.
