I've owned an a CPO 2007 BMW 328i, which I kept for 5 years because the cost of repair started shooting through the roof. I was told that the engine cover was cracking/gasket was leaking etc which would have cost me ~$2000 to repair. Otherwise I was pretty happy with the experience of driving a German car. After that one, I decided to buy a used 2014 Mazda3 mainly because my wife was learning how to drive and I wanted to pass it on to her. I have had it for about 2 years and of course the cost of owning it a lot less than any German car out there but I miss the excitement of driving a car. It does give me 30+ mpg but again it does not keep me wanting to go in just for the fun of driving.

So finally it's time to hand that car over to her and find mine to fall in love with again. I've been eyeing the Audi A4 for quite sometime specially since BMW decided not to implement Android Auto. I wanted to get a feel of what owners of A4 thing about owning one.

1. Does the warranty and free maintenance carry over to the 2nd owner in Audis? I think BMW stopped transferring free maintenance.
2. Does anyone have experience in cost of ownership comparison of a BMW vs Audi?
3. How easy is it work on Audis yourself? I saw some videos on changing engine oil and it seemed pretty straight forward.
4. How is the reliability of 2017+ Audi A4?

I found a few 2019 Audi A4 Premium for ~33K (10 - 1500K miles). It seems to be a good deal but I am concerned why such new cars with low mileage are ending up in pre-owned stock.
