on the right rear. It bugged the hell out of me.

Solution: I jacked the car up. At first I thought it was the emergency brake line which goes through a metal guide. When I would move it around, it would creak similar to the sound I was hearing. I dabbed oil on the brake line where it makes contact with the guide. It still made the sound after that.

I then dabbed some oil on the spring mount on the strut. Just around the bottom of the spring. That took care of it.

Maybe this will help others out there with a similar problem.
