Default you need to find someone with a scan tool, like VAG COM or VAG 1551, or VW Tool.

It's the only way.

Default Well, it CAN mean that you need service, but it depends on the actual mileage of the car..

How many miles do you have now?

And, as for turning off the light, they may or may not charge you, depending on how close you are with the garage.

Default the car has 63K, and was just fully inspected.....

by a dealer before i got it, but i'm sure he didn't have a key to reset it.

Default This indicator comes on at a certain mileage interval.

It is not telling you that there is something wrong with the car, rather that you have gone a certain number of miles since it was last reset. READ THE MANUAL to find out more about this.

Of course the dealer can reset this, but they may charge you for this if that's all you are having them do. If you are having them perform your routine service, they will reset this indicator for free.

Depending on the model year of your car, you can either use the VAG-COM tool by Ross-Tech to reset this indicator, or you can follow a manual procedure which can be found in the tech section of AW. In '96, the indicator must be reset using the VAG-COM tool or by the dealer.

Default Any dealer has the tools to reset the In2.. If you are satisfied that teh car is up to spec,

get the In2 reset, and be happy.

Default BUT, the interval can be set for whatever you want, many people set it for the max, just to avoid...

the little blinking In2.
