"Search" + AW = '97 now with keyless entry
The search function works so well. I found ancient (by AW standards) posts on keyless entry for my '97 and woudn't ya know, they were correct. Switchblade remotes work fine on the older cars once you do the 2-key-press the button-make it flash-do a happy dance thing. Now I just need toget a new key cut. I guess that's a dealer only thing huh?
It's a wonderful thing when people who know what they are doing post and explain things. Thanks all.

Yup, switchblades work fine on 97's... on my to-do list... if you find a non-dealer cutter, tell us!
(although in that case you'd still need a blank... which is the proverbial fly in the ointment.)

got it off ebay, needed BOTH of my non-remote keys to get it to work, tried 4x with no luck, then followed the AW instructions EXACTLY and locked the outside door with my spare key, then got the remote to work. e-mail me if you have questions
