$750 GIAC socket chip+VAG tool vs. $1400 for GIAC or APR ECU and VAG? Is it worth the $?

Get the GIAC with socket, just did today, VAG tool is not necessary but nice to have.

VAG to clear power code when you switch back to the stock for service, I need my warranty!

Default This has been discussed a million times...
..the power codes (1) go away after driving a while and (2) are not necessarily caused by a chip and therefore are usually ignored by the dealer.

Don't worry about it.

Default power loss code goes away after a long time
I think it's after 30 to 40 warm up cycles... not exactly something that happens over the course of a week

It's 15 times, as verified by a couple people which isn't bad, but it doesn't even matter as my point #2 negates this problem.
