Most people are idiots. I passed a cop who was doing just below t...
he 65 mph speed limit. I set cruise control to about 67 mph (real world 65mph). After a few minutes I was way ahead of the cop while behind him there were about 30 cars all in the right lane. Nobody else passed him.
Of course I tried the same with an undercover cop who was doing 70mph, as soon as I hit 73mph he turned on his radar. Had to drop back and wait for my exit to come up.

It depends. If they're in the left lane, then it's pace car time. If they are hanging to the right
it depends on how fast they are going. I usually don't feel like rolling the dice on a cop's mood, so I'll wait for them to move on. Dealing with cops is like dealing with women, they're always right.

i agree but i rather appear innocent (by going 5 over) than guilty (5 under)
i've been pulled over for it once.
cop: you know the speed limit?
me: yes sir, 45.
cop: you were going alittle fast
me: yes sir, i was using the left lane to pass.
cop: slow down some

Yep, that's how I got my first ticket
The cop was driving an undercover champagne-colored Crown Victoria, and I passed him thinking he was probably just an old man.
Got lit up 1/4 of mile down the road and cited for 67 in 55 - IN CONSTRUCTION ZONE!! Had to hire a law firm to get it off my back.

Oh really? Well... I can see where it would be dangerous for someone to slam on the brakes, but it does make sense tho. Sucks enough that cops gotta be in harm's way, guess it's not a bad idea for us to slow down.
