Default I drove this Acura....

during a BMW comparision test. In my opinion along with a lot of the other people there, the Acura was the worst car there. We drove a BMW 330i, 330ix, Audi A4 2.8, Mercedes C230 Sport, Lexus IS300. The Acura although it had the most horsepower it was also the heaviest car with the least amount of tourque. One of the slower cars off the line because of this. In the wet and slippery simulation it was again at the back of the pack for its handling characteristics. (along with the Lexis) I comparison to the rest of the cars there I would not recommend the Acura above any of the other cars.

Default Re: Way overpriced. After riding in an Acura 3.2 CL Type S all weekend, theres no way I'd buy the 0

Here, it is almost a 10% increase for the 1.8T. Way too much for too little car. And the car gained so much WEIGHT.

Although I am confident that TL-S and Maxima are as good in the handling dpmt, I still prefer the overall package of the Audi.

Default Excuse me but my car has 170HP. Oh yeah, that's right. You must have illegally modified your car

*GASP!* Seriously, this is an enthusiast board. So more people than not are modding their car.

Sure, chip your car, new exhaust, paint your lowers, put in a SS, 17" tires (pre 2001.5 cars), turbo timers, boost gage, alcantra leather (seats), lower your car, new brakes, new suspension, new turbo, new everything etc. Sure you enjoy modding your car. Spending all these money ($5k?? roughly) so that your car is unique. In the end, what do you have? A turbo 4. Why do you think people are switching over to other cars?

Default I agree with you.

I drove the Lexus IS300....it was a pretty big let-down.....

the other cars you have mentioned all out-cost the CL by 5 to 12 thousand dollars, I'm sure they did outperform! Don't get me wrong, I'm not running out to buy a CL tomorrow. I just think its a lot of car for the money....especially when compared to the now heavier A4.

I love Audis, but for me, the A4 is headed in the wrong direction. But thats just me...

Default there's is absolutely nothing illegal about many modifications

chips, exhaust, superchargers, bigger turbos, 100% legal on any car you own or are going to be owning.

Many people here would rather have a turbo over a naturally aspirated engine. Most people are switching to BIGGER engined TURBOs (S4). At least 6 people in the past month. IT's STILL a turbo. It's a V6 but it's still turbo charged.

Default Disagree on the rear seat room...'02 is a big improvement...

I'm 6'5". I do not fit, save a life-threatening emergency, in the backseat of the current A4/S4. I sat in the back of an '02 A4, however, and my head could fit, with just a little kink in my neck, and I could actually fit my feet and legs into the floorboard/seatback area of the back of the A4. I COULD NOT DO THAT in the '95-'01 models. I could ride out to lunch or for a quick trip in the back of an '02 A4. I could not do that before. Would I be comfortable? No, but it is still a marked improvement. Interior felt nearly as big as a 5-series BMW (which I wouldn't ever get as a "full size sedan" because they're so small).

Default I am comparing a 2002 S4 with 2002 3.0 quattro. What's wrong with that?

I know that the new body S4 will be much more expensive than a 3.0, but as of right now, you have a choice of buying an old body 2002 S4 for around $41K or a new body 2002 A4 3.0 qms for $39K (comparably loaded). My point was that the S4 is more bang for the buck.
