The 1.8t transmission takes 3 liters of fluid right?
I just changed my fluid out and I think I could have used a little bit more.
Also, does anyone know the the color of new redline fluid is supposed to look like? As it came out of the trans it looked like semi used engine oil, a dark carmel color. I meant to get a sample of it and send it to blackstone but I totally forgot about it. The redline fluid was only in there for about 20k miles. I swapped out the fluid because I started having issues shifting into 2nd gear when it was cold out after I had the clutch changed and redline fluid put in. Hopefully this fixes it since the OEM fluid is CRAZY expendsive. If I had known that I would have tried other aftermarket fluids

Have car on level ground
run a hose with a funnel to the fill hole.
Fill until oil starts to pour out of the fill hole. Screw fill plug. Your are done!!!
About the color? Well, i use redline (good stuff BTW) Redline is not a long lasting oil. Remember its about protection under racing conditions. Red line does not make fluids to last XXXXX amount of miles. So, if u gonna use redline, yeah, change the fluid as you see fit.
Trust me, when fresh fluid is in the tran, the trans shifts like butter...then as time and mileage goes by....it kinda starts to shift like OEM did. Thats when you change the fluid.
In my case, i changed it every 20K miles. I do a lots of short tripping. 5 miles to get to work, going the back way. Never break the 35mph barrier.
