Default I got mine done with water pump (and it's NOT a timing chain, it's a belt) for about 850

1000-1200 is what a lot of shops charge. But in my case, I found someone who is better and charge less bc his shop is not in the city and not polished-looking. In other words, price will range anywhere from shady $500 jobs to $2000+ stealership prices (with reported range on AW about 800-1000)... the important thing is to ask around and find a good mechanic to do it.

You will HAVE to change at least the timing belt, timing belt tensioner (get the updated type), water pump, temp sensor, and a few other things you can find out on the 12v forum, good luck.

Don't know how many miles you have now, but for the 12v, timing belt change interval should be at 90k maximum, and safer to do it somewhere around 75-80k miles

Default Mine included everything, both parts (TB kit , H20 pump, and new coolant) and 2.5 hours labor.

The even changed out my rear diff fluid for me too, and that is also included in that price.

Default Thats what a dealer might charge.

DIY $300, Independent shop $650-1000. See if you can find a shop where you supply your own parts with no surcharge. Its about a five hour job.
