1997 A4 12V6 Throttle Q:

Either the linkage is binding or rusting up and the pedal doesn't return with the throttle cable attached.

When the engine is started it increases speed until the motor is stopped.

How does one get under the intake tubing to get at and free the throttle cam and butterflies in the throttle body in is 12V 2.8?

Is there a way to do it without removing the intake tubes?

Any other tips or TSB (tech service bulletins) info?

it's not that hard to get to it.. follow some of the writeup for cleaning the ICV...

might be easiest to remove the whole TB, so you can be CERTAIN that it's not the problem. Don't forget also, there is a linkage and mechanical stuff for cruise control too..

I can tinker with the Cruise rod from the vacuum diaphragm, that's accessible.
