1997 A4Q starts running cold when outside temp is <65
I had my 60K service about 13K miles ago (in the summer) and now the car starts running cold *after* it's been warm for a while. Normally the temp needle is straight up but recently it's been falling back down after the car is at temperature. To me it sounds like a bad thermostat getting stuck open. Is this supposed to be replaced at the 60K?(I had my timing belt done at the same time also). Is this a tough job to DIY?
thanks,

Easy fix? Anybody do a thermostat on an A4?
It seems coincidental that it started doing this after my 60K service/timing belt replacement.
I'd hate to take it in to the dealer, and I don't know any independant mechanics in the Charlotte area.
