2" dent in hood: Is this a job for the Dent Wizard?
It's right in the front, just above the grill. A 2" vertical (longitudinal?) crease. Paint seems to be intact. Can a paintless dent remover usually handle something like this?
Otherwise, I'm out a $500 deductible. But I get a new hood, minus some nasty paint chips.
Have no clue as to what caused it. No apparent damage to bumper, grill, etc. Probably someone was unloading something from a vehicle parked in front of mine.

Same thing happened to me...
I got a 1" ding just above the grill and I called the Dent Dudes. The guy came to look at my car and said that the dent was behind a bracing and he couldn't access it. Then I took a dremmel tool and cut away what I thought was a double panel under the dent. Now you could see the dent from under the hood. A different guy came to see my car and said that there was still a double panel behind the bracing that I cut away. He tried to bend it out with what looked like a screwdriver with the tip bent at an angle. He said that he would not be able to fix it. He didn't know it, but he did make it 50% better just by taking a few quick pokes at it. Whe I got home I was able to bend it out myself a little more. Now it is a 1/4" ding that I can live with.
Try this: Call dent wizards and see if they can fix it. They probably can't since it is almost certainly behind a double panel. They won't try to fix it unless they can get it almost perfect. But ask them if they can spend 10 minutes working on it if you pay him under the table. If he can make it 90% better then I would think 1/2 price would be fair. Let me know how it goes.
