Default With the amount of time/money it would take to try to adapt that...

You would be better off just having a custom turbo fitted to it. Maybe a nice T-04B or something... Or a GT28/35. I was thinking along the same lines as you, and decided to just leave it the way it is and go buy a second "go-fast" car.

Default The 2.7 has thicker walls to withstand the turbo boost

The supercharger is limited to 8 PSI, turbos produce boost in double digits. 2.8 would not last long with a turbo setup.

Default Not for very long...

The 2.8 Motor was actually developed by Cosworth - Specifically the heads. Both for the 2.8 and 2.7. In essence they're both the exact same engines aside from minor differences in the heads that account for the lower compression and displacement of the 2.7. This is the biggest reason that you shouldn't boost a 2.8. the compression is too high for an extended engine life. I've talked about this extensively with my Audi mechanic and there really is not a better upgrade for the 2.8 than the PES supercharger.

If you wanted to attempt it you'd need more than the 4 or 5 grand the SC would cost you.
