2.8 verse 1.8 Timing belt change. Differences?
I've read over the Tech Doc's on the TB Change, and I think they are for 1.8's. On a 2001 A4Q Avant, what would be different than on a 1.8?
The ECS Kit contains:
Timing Belt
Idler Roller
Tensioner Pulley
Water Pump
Thermostat
Accessory Drive Belt
But the kit does not include the Timing Belt Dampner, or the Tensioner on a 1.8. Doesn't that part always need to be replaced?
What else should I do while I'm in there?
I am thinking Snub Mount, Serpentine belt. What about Accessory belt tensioner?
Thanks. Anyone with a 2.8 that has done it and has any hints, etc let me know.

there are two cams. you need a bar to lock them at TDC and then pull the gears.
Find rob on here, he's got the bar I think out for loan. I could have sworn there was a writeup, maybe it was for the A6 2.8, but it's the same pretty much.

Hmmmm... I'm not sure if there is much difference between the motors besides internal (obviously)
Externally, with the pulleys and locations of everything, they're probably the same, though I can't confirm.
